Father's Retreat

Bereaved fathers often report having difficulties finding grief support that is tailored to their needs and share that they often feel overlooked. Through years of experience, we have also learned that fathers typically employ different coping strategies than mothers, including avoiding talking about the death, keeping busy with distractions, and returning to work more quickly.

In hopes of changing the narrative, 3Hopeful Hearts has offered a Bereaved Dads Support group since 2017. Bruce Barker and Dwight Hall, bereaved fathers, will lead this mountain retreat time. The goal for this time away includes time to share stories, connect with others who are also grieving their children, and engage in meaningful conversations all while enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery and activities that Sky Corral Ranch has to offer.
