Bring or send a photo to be printed, we will decorate a 5x7 frame while we share about our loved ones! You may bring any items that your child loved to place on the altar.

Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a traditional Mexican holiday celebrated on November 1 and 2 to honor and remember loved ones who have died.

Why is it celebrated?

Belief in the return of loved ones:
The tradition includes the belief that the souls of those who have died temporarily return to be with their families.

A joyful reunion:
Rather than being solely a time of sadness or mourning, Día de Muertos is a colorful celebration filled with music, remembrance, and connection. It focuses on the joy found in remembering loved ones and keeping their memory alive.

Altars and offerings:
Families may create altars, or ofrendas, in their homes with photographs, favorite foods, candles, marigolds (cempasúchil), and pan de muerto to honor, welcome, and remember their loved ones.
